Koen's front tooth has been wiggling, if ever so slightly, since right before Christmas. He didn't want to work it loose, so it's been slowly getting looser, but not by much. WELL, today Emileigh decided to help Koen along with the process by kicking him right in the mouth! His slightly loose tooth became wedged inward and pushed back into his mouth, with blood dripping out and Koen crying of course. It's a blessing I work per diem at an Oral Surgery office! I called them right away (it was about 4:30pm) and they had me come right in to see him. I love my work! They were so awesome though Koen was NOT a happy camper. The Dr. looked at him and ended up removing his tooth, there was nothing else they could do since it was bound to fall out eventually anyway. The girls at the office were so great, trying to help Koen feel at ease. One of them even gave him a $1 when the ordeal was all over. When we left the office, Koen tells me that he liked the Dr and the assistant that took his x-ray, but best of all he liked Kathy (the one that gave him money). He's been all smiles since we left and is so excited for the Tooth Fairy to come tonight! What a day!

Oh My goodness!!!! What a way to lose a tooth! Poor guy! At first when i saw your title to your post i was jealous that koen had lost a tooth and Blake hasn't. we want him to lose his front caps sooo badly! But then after reading your post Im sorry you all had to go through that! But at least it turned out positive for Koen:) He looks so cute with a missing tooth too!
Oh, trauma! Poor little guy! I'm glad it's out and over with. Dylan lost his first two teeth the same day, just in the usual way, and he cried for like two hours. Silly kid. At least he didn't get kicked in the face... :)
